Hacked

I was hacked toward the beginning of December 2024; it seems I was not the only one. Whomever the perpetrator was I'm told was banned by a mod the very next day. So, glad the mods were prompt.
Gave the server owner (LOGG) a couple weeks to access the situation before PMing, and obviously this was directly before the holidays, so I do understand why everyone was busy. So, after the holidays I hopped on and still didn't have a single item that was stolen from me back in my bank. I sent a slightly underestimated inventory to LOGG of what was taken from me and was assured the mods were on it. Gave it a couple more weeks and kind of got disheartened when I logged back in after nearly a month-long hiatus and still nothing

Long story short, are we just out of luck? I poured over a year of my life into this account. Had no idea you could even play rsc in 2023 and was so pumped when I seen a yt vid of this server that I went directly the following weekend and bought all the parts to build the pc I'm currently using just for this server!

It would just be nice to know whether to move on or hold out hope.

Regardless, much appreciation for all the work the team has poured into this server to make us gen x/millennials relive our childhoods.

Did you ever recieve your lost items? If this happened to me I’d request an export from before I was hacked and if they couldn’t produce that I’d request an export with the lost items returned. This is why I’m going to request one every three months lol

Hello, i am being pressured to respond to this since it has been another 3 months and you haven't been updated.

Basically nothing has changed & if you must force an answer now then the answer is "no nothing will ever happen". When I have time for OpenRSC, which hasn't been as often lately, I have to prioritise other things first (new code changes). Maybe if I get through all the PRs I can think about this case.

It was not clear-cut in the past and it is not clear-cut now so nothing has happened & people who are hacked (which we think was due to using the same password across multiple services) are not guarunteed a timeline or to get their items back at all.
